Bethlehem’s Franciscan Boys Home Celebrates 15th Anniversary

“HOME is a reality which resonates deeply in every human being. It is intimately associated with everything we understand about FAMILY. Together this brings us the heart of our existence. These truths remind us that we belong to one another.”

We are currently scheduling email interviews with Fr. Peter F. Vasko, OFM, President of FFHL who will speak about how Bethlehem’s Franciscan Boys Home has become a pillar of hope and promise to so many Christian youth facing struggles in the community. The Franciscan Boys Home recently celebrated its 15th Anniversary of operations in September.

In a fragile land where social and political upheavals are prevalent, the nuclear family is often impacted. The Bethlehem Boys’ Home is one of many social services run through the Custody. The Home was founded in 2007 as an affiliate to Terra Sancta College and strives to open a new window of hope and a lifeline to a brighter future.

As a Franciscan friar who has lived and ministered in Israel for nearly 40 years, Fr. Peter would welcome an opportunity to share how Bethlehem’s Franciscan Boys Home has been a caring sanctuary for children and youth ages 6 to 18 from families in need to give them an education and a future. If you have an interest in speaking with him, please let me know.
