Straw Hut Media is working with renowned Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Elliot Hirsch, to deliver a dose of reliable information in Below The Surface, a new podcast. Each week, Dr. Hirsch sits down with celebrities, patients, and expert guests to go below the surface on topics ranging from beauty, skincare, plastic surgery trends, lifestyle, and current events.

“I called the show Below the Surface because I want to delve deeper into hot topics that the media has been covering, but with an unvarnished, honest lens,” said Dr. Hirsch. “I’m very excited to share my guests’ stories, their expertise and research in their fields, and so much more. This podcast offers a glimpse into the stories I so often hear from my patients at my practice in Los Angeles.”

With the help of a rotating cast of guests, including esteemed guests in the healthcare and beauty industry and reality stars such as Brandi Glanville (Bravo’s RHOBH), Amy Schechter (Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing NY), and professionals like Ryan Tucker (Former MLB Pitcher for Texas Rangers & Florida Marlins), Dr. Hirsch takes an unvarnished, unbiased look at everything happening in the world around us.

For example, this week, Dr. Hirsch and board certified pediatrician, Dr. Jessica Hochman, take a close look at the science and safety of children returning to school. “There is so much discussion of the safety of kids returning to classrooms, so I wanted to give my listeners a reliable source to dispel some myths and help give a credible, science based perspective,” said Dr. Hirsch.

Dr. Hirsch is the Chief of Plastic Surgery of Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center and has a primary office in Sherman Oaks, and treats patients from not only Los Angeles but from all over California and beyond. Dr. Hirsch has been an active researcher in the field of plastic surgery and has co-authored over 40 manuscripts and book chapters, and has received several grants for original research projects and holds patents for wound care devices. Dr. Hirsch is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
