BabySav Donates 500 Face Masks to Local Day Care Centers

“At BabySav, we understand that our daily lives, routines and responsibilities to our children are constantly changing,” stated BabySav founder Lou Molinari. “While hot car deaths among children and pets is still a serious concern, we felt the need to support another pressing issue impacting children and those who care for them by donating these much-needed face coverings to this deserving child care facility.”

The masks have two messages to support two important missions: 1) Help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep daycare workers, children, and families safer and 2) Continue to raise awareness among those to care for children about the dangers of leaving children inside a hot car.

“BabySav is committed to alleviating hot car deaths,” says Molinari. “These face masks can help protect these dedicated caregivers and the children they care for, while at the same time, reminding parents and guardians not to leave loved ones in the car.”

The face coverings provided by BabySav have two layers of fabric with a pocket that can be used to fill with a pm2.5 filter for extra protection.

“We are so grateful for Baby Sav and all their positive efforts to save lives of young children. Lou has been very supportive of our school and we appreciate the kindness and effort to bring awareness to our community. The mask donation will go directly to the student and families at our school and help fight against the spread of COVID 19… Thank you Baby Sav!” Amanda Flowers, Operations Manager, Best Friends for Kidz Learning Laboratory.

About BabySav

BabySav was founded in 2003 with a single mission to stop children and pets from dying in hot cars through awareness and a simple sticker. Every year, nearly 40 children are left in hot cars to die. The question is why?

It’s a senseless and devastating tragedy, but happens to nice, responsible people who love their children. They simply get distracted. The question is why and how can we stop it?

The answer first came by developing a simple sticker or sign placed at the entrances of public buildings, offices, stores and even your own home as a reminder not to leave your child in the car. That has since expanded to keychains, car sunshades, shopping cart signs, and now, face coverings.

“The more ways we can get the word out, the bigger impact we can have,” says Molinari. “But it all comes back to the caregiver taking action to prevent this devastating tragedy from occurring.”
