Trident Air to preview upcoming wall-mountable interlocking air purifier at CES 2024

HEX features the brand’s proprietary Air Dome Technology, which disinfects air and surfaces in minutes

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 9, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Today, Trident Air, a leader in innovative air purification solutions, is excited to announce its participation in the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The brand will be exhibiting in Vegas at The Venetian Expo Hall G, Eureka Park, booth 61613 from January 9 – 12, 2024, offering an exclusive sneak peek of its upcoming HEX wall-mountable and interlocking air purifier, alongside its bestselling Hunter and Bliss models.

HEX, due to launch in Q1 2024, is the slimmest and lightest of Trident Air’s purifiers. It comes in a wall-mountable interlocking design, which enables users to connect two or more units to amplify air-cleaning power in any room of any size. It weighs 4.4 lbs, measures 9.9 x 11.3 x 4.7 inches, operates at 20-45dB noise, and has 15w power.

Conceived during the 2020 Covid pandemic in collaboration with Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Trident Air’s proprietary “Air Dome Technology” follows a three-step (Hunt, Catch, Kill) process to sterilize and purify both air and surfaces within minutes of usage.

Firstly, the ‘Hunt’ phase mimics the sun’s natural process, releasing bi-polarized (positive and negative) oxygen ions into the environment. These ions actively seek out and neutralize harmful airborne particles, including pathogens and pollutants. Following this, the ‘Catch’ phase involves the use of an advanced Bio-CAGE Washable filter system, designed to catch 99.9% of viruses and bacteria. This filter is washable and doesn’t clog up like traditional HEPA filters. Finally, the ‘Kill’ phase effectively neutralizes viruses and bacteria within minutes. This comprehensive approach not only cleans the air but also significantly reduces the presence of harmful pathogens on surfaces, providing a holistic solution to indoor air quality challenges.

“Our Air Dome Technology mimics the germicidal properties of outdoor air,” said Dr. Ivan Tan, Trident Air Co-founder and Principal Scientist. “This technology breakthrough has already been put to use in critical hospital environments, and even the Istana (Singaporean presidential residence), which is a testament to its efficacy.”

The HEX model’s unique selling proposition lies in its ability to replicate the Outdoor Air Factor (OAF), bringing the benefits of outdoor air indoors. Unlike traditional air purifiers, HEX is equipped to tackle pathogens, offering relief to individuals with respiratory issues such as Rhinitis and Sinusitis.

“Our newest model is a result of relentless innovation and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs,” said Dr. Davy Cheong, Trident Co-founder and Principal Scientist. “While developing HEX, our goal was to create a product that not only purifies air but does so in a way that transforms living spaces. The wall-mountable feature of HEX is a testament to our commitment to both functionality and aesthetic appeal.”

Trident Air is excited to preview the HEX, which is still in development, at CES 2024. For interested media wishing to book a demo and explore the widespread applications of Air Dome Technology, please contact PR agent Jess Verheyden.

Leading K-12 Teletherapy Platform Parallel Secures New Round of Funding & Adds Five Key Hires to Leadership Team to Further Scale and Expand Services

● Sarah Finney is joining as VP of Customer Success after spearheading a similar role at Presence Learning.

● Monica Maspons is joining as VP of Strategic Operations after previously serving as the SVP of Strategic Growth at Acorn Health.

● Kushal Patel is joining to serve as the newest VP of Finance after previously serving as Senior Director of Strategic Finance at Learneo.

● Meryll Dindin, formerly Co-Founder and CTO of Polygon, a Spark Capital backed competitor, is joining as Director of Data Analytics and AI.

These new hires will join an existing talented leadership team at Parallel. Their combined expertise and experience in the digital health and education sectors will allow Parallel to accelerate its growth and position Parallel as a leader in psychoeducational services for students both in and out of the classroom.

Parallel is addressing the pressing challenges within the special education system. It seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology and unparalleled clinical expertise, streamlining psychological evaluations and support services, including speech-language pathology, specialized instruction, behavioral and mental health counseling, and executive function coaching for K-12 school partners. Parallel’s proprietary software drives significant efficiencies for providers, reducing assessment administration time and service preparation, and incorporates clinical features that enhance the quality of sessions and achievement of meaningful outcomes across service lines.

The news of the new hires comes on the heels of Parallel securing a new round of funding, led by Rethink Impact with participation from insiders, totaling $6.125 million. This funding round is a supplement to their Series A funding, boosting their expansion into new territories and product investments.

“Parallel’s innovative tech comes at a time when 42 of 50 states face SPED teacher shortages,” says Jenny Abramson, Founder & Managing Partner of Rethink Impact (the largest VC fund in the country backing female leaders). “Our firm spent years looking at solutions in special education and were incredibly impressed by not only the quality of what Diana and her team have built but by the fact that they have so quickly scaled to 80+ districts. We couldn’t be more excited to support Parallel in providing access to these critical education services.”

Parallel also reported record growth throughout the company as of Q3, including an increase of 200% of its provider network, with over 95% of providers deciding to stay with Parallel. This has resulted in more than 4x in the number of students supported across close to 80 K-12 districts, generating over 4x in total revenue compared to the previous year. Additionally, preliminary data also suggests that over 90% of students have positive feelings towards their therapists, a datapoint, amongst many, that Parallel collects to ensure it delivers the best clinical outcomes to students.

According to Parallel’s Founder & CEO, Diana Heldfond, they are creating much-needed solutions within the education system. “Parallel is tackling the most pressing challenges facing today’s public school system by increasing access to quality, effective, and affordable care,” shared Heldfond. “Students registered with us have reported significant progress that includes grade improvement, positive changes in behavior, increased excitement to learn, and more.”

News of the new hires and funding round follow Heldfond’s recent recognition as the Education Callout for the 2024 Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. The United States has around seven million students with special needs who qualify for accommodations, leaving students vulnerable to a lack of support. With Parallel, students can receive special education support with virtual services, assessments, counseling, and instruction.

AI-powered TokenMe Redefines Large-Scale Construction at Denmark’s New Odense University Hospital

Aroldo Tegon, project manager of the New Odense University Hospital construction project, explained, “Both CMB and Itinera, the construction firms leading the Odense Hospital Project Team, invested in TokenMe and other technologies because we recognize their value. TokenMe’s real-time data helps mitigate risks, monitor environmental factors, and is assisting in the decision-making process.”

“Massive construction sites come with additional risks due to scale,” added Brian Taammoli, the Odense Hospital Project Team’s risk manager. “With TokenMe’s smart construction monitoring, we’re now able to track 1,000 workers spread out over 22 kilometers of corridors. The system was implemented in early 2023 and the workers are comfortable with it, as they are educated about its GDPR compliance and functionalities.”

How TokenMe Works

TokenMe uses wireless tag and sensor technologies to monitor “boots on the ground” and improve safety at construction sites using UWB, LoRa, WiFi and BLE technologies. Construction workers wear smart badges or helmet tags (tokens) that transmit anonymous data to battery-powered mobile anchors mounted at strategic locations across the site. The anchors send the information — worker presence, motion, temperature, humidity, loud sound, air quality, and light intensity — to the TokenMe database (cloud or on-premise), where data is processed using AI and rules to provide meaningful real-time insights and predictions on construction workflow and building conditions.

The TokenMe dashboard visualizes data as graphs, lists, and maps, giving an overview of task execution, location of materials and equipment, real-time presence of personnel, and progress tracking and predictions. Falls are one of the highest risks leading to fatal accidents. TokenMe uses a fall-detect and a “request for help” button to generate warnings and critical alarms. The easy-to-install solution substantially improves safety, reduces delays, and reduces project costs.

TokenMe’s monthly subscription model enables quick adoption with low capital investment.

“The construction industry runs on tight schedules, but most project management tools fail to provide real-time visibility and consistent progress reports on subcontractor activity,” said Hans van Leeuwen, CEO and founder of TokenMe. “Instead of weekly or monthly timesheet reports, TokenMe provides a real-time count and location of workers and enables proactive and predictive planning of thousands of people and assets. We are extremely proud to be a CES 2023 Innovation Award honoree and look forward to presenting the next-generation AI-driven TokenMe to industry leaders at our CES booth.”

TokenMe saves valuable time and money on large-scale construction projects.
