Author Exposes Corrupt Christian Teachings Utilizing Biblical Evidence

Joellen Saddock claims that Christ’s message does not align with mainstream Christian teachings

POWHATAN, Va., Jan. 10, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Although author Joellen Saddock was raised in a Christian household, she often found herself on the outside of religion, looking in. She wanted to explain the beauty of Christ’s message but discovered that her understanding of Christ stood in juxtaposition to mainstream Christianity. In her new book, “Christian Awakening,” she shares her coming-of-age story about how she found the answers to all her tough religious questions.

“Christian Awakening” explores the deeper meanings of the Bible, how Christianity parallels other religions, and shares the message of a loving unity between all of God’s people. Saddock implores readers to set aside the idea that man begins and ends in the confines of their own skin.

Although initially frustrated with the idea of reincarnation, Saddock recounts her personal experiences on the topic while explaining what the Bible means when referring to how a man can be “in the body of his ancestor,” and how “women received back their dead, raised to life again.” Tackling the distinction between reincarnation and resurrection, Saddock wants readers to consider if Jesus was actually teaching a different religion at all as she calls Hindu, Jains, and Buddhists her brethren.

“The current biblical interpretation keeps man feeling powerless,” Saddock said. “The bible says that the human body is a form of godliness. It is through a faulty interpretation that fundamentalists continue to deny its power. Jesus meant every word he said, man truly possesses mountain moving potential.”

Saddock calls her writing a self-help book for the religiously bereft, saying that it is a must read for anyone who has been confused by the Christian religion.

“More and more people have become skeptical of the forces that are governing them,” Saddock said. “My place in all this madness is to tell you that these same forces, mostly greed and power, that have corrupted the government, the media, and some of the medical field, have also corrupted Christ’s message. This happened long ago, even before the formation of Christian churches.”

Assuring readers that Jesus gave them permission to think outside the box, Saddock walks readers through points of the Bible that may be subject to misinterpretation, corruption, or mistranslation. She encourages readers to not only renew their mind, but join together in a loving unity of all God’s people.

News/Media Alliance President & CEO Danielle Coffey to Testify at Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Oversight of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Future of Journalism

Coffey’s comments before the Subcommittee will explain how Generative AI tools exploit news content to compete directly with publishers, yet need quality journalism to train their systems. Coffey will focus on the copyright infringement implications of how GAI developers train and use their models, as well as the need for legislation, including requiring transparency and responsibility from GAI developers, and passing the Journalism Competition & Preservation Act (JCPA), which would allow publishers to collectively negotiate for fair compensation for use of their content by the dominant tech platforms, such as Meta and Google.

Since generative AI technology took off exponentially last year, the News/Media Alliance has been leading the call for AI companies to seek proper permissions and licensing from publishers for use of their valuable content. Last fall, the Alliance published a White Paper revealing that GAI systems copy massive amounts of publishers’ original works, almost always without authorization or compensation, and publisher content is overweighted in materials used for training these systems. The White Paper and comments the Alliance submitted to the U.S. Copyright Office also explain the legal implications of such use.

In response to the hearing, News/Media Alliance President & CEO, Danielle Coffey stated, “We commend Subcommittee Chair Richard Blumenthal and Ranking Member Josh Hawley and the Senate Judiciary Committee for recognizing the urgent need to address our very serious concerns about the impacts of AI technology on providers of quality journalism, as well as the legal questions this raises. AI companies are scraping our content to compete with it – usually without any compensation to, or permission from the publishers of that content – while they reap all the benefits. This is classic freeriding that infringes publishers’ copyrights and goes far beyond fair use.”

Coffey’s testimony offers multiple suggestions for policymakers, including:

  • Recognizing that unauthorized use of publishers’ expressive content for commercial GAI training and development is likely to compete with and harm publisher businesses in a manner that infringes copyright;
  • Creating transparency requirements to require the recordkeeping and disclosure of unauthorized training uses of material that is protected by copyright, by technical protection measures, or governed by contractual terms prohibiting scraping; and
  • Adopting legislation to remedy existing market imbalances that prevent publishers from engaging in fair negotiations for the use of their content against dominant platforms.

A new report released by the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in November found that the rate of newspaper closures has accelerated, now at 2.5 closures per week (with more than 130 confirmed newspaper closings or mergers in the last year), resulting in the expansion of news deserts, in which communities lack a source of local news.

Coffey concluded, “For years the tech platforms have gotten away with using publishers’ content without appropriate compensation. This problem, having gone unaddressed, has been getting worse and now, AI doubles down on the threat the largest tech platforms pose to publishers’ viability. Countries all over the world are introducing and passing legislation requiring the tech platforms to pay news publishers. The United States cannot fall behind other countries and should pass the JCPA, which will ensure publishers can continue to provide important high-quality journalism we all depend on. We have to act now before it’s too late.”

The News/Media Alliance is a nonprofit organization representing more than 2,200 news and magazine media organizations and their multiplatform businesses in the United States and globally. Alliance members include print and digital publishers of original journalism. Headquartered just outside Washington, D.C., the association focuses on ensuring the future of journalism through communication, research, advocacy, and innovation. MR departments seek to leverage AI to improve workflow, productivity according to IMV’s recent report

For hospital MR departments improving workflow and productivity is a top priority says IMV, a Science and Medicine Group Company.

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 10, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — In 2023, the top two overall priorities for MR departments are to increase patient satisfaction with their MR imaging experience and improve MRI department workflow and productivity, according to IMV’s recently published 2023 MR Market Outlook Report.

While a top priority across all hospital types, improving MRI department workflow and productivity is the number one priority for hospitals with 200 beds or more. One strategy hospitals are using to achieve this goal is to leverage AI and machine learning software. According to the survey, overall, 20% of sites are currently using AI/machine-learning tools to improve staff and department efficiency. Broken out by hospital size, this percentage increases to 23% for hospitals with 200 to 399 beds and 34% for hospitals with 400 beds or more, while sitting at a more modest 14% among hospitals with less than 200 beds. These data indicate that MRI departments in larger hospital sites are in a better position to realize gains in workflow and productivity, compared with those in smaller hospitals.

Looking at procedure volumes, in 2023, overall there was an estimated 2.9% increase in MR procedures performed compared to 2022. Broken out by site type, hospital-based fixed MR procedures have increased 7.2%, while non-hospital based MR procedures have decreased by 1.2% year over year.

MRI Procedure Volume Change Year-over-Year

  • Overall Site Type: 2.9%
  • Hospital (fixed) Site Type: 7.2%
  • Non-Hospital Site Type: -1.2%

In 2023, 30% of MR sites are planning to purchase an MR scanner from 2023 through 2026. Survey respondents listed the following manufacturers being considered for these purchases: Siemens Healthineers (53%), GE HealthCare (50%), Philips (30%), Canon Medical Systems (14%), Fujifilm Medical Systems (11%), and United Imaging Healthcare (8%).

Regarding MRI site operations, in 2023 on average hospital sites with fixed systems are open 12.6 hours per weekday per site and 12.5 hours in total over the weekend. Hospitals using mobile MRI systems are open for an average of 6.1 hours per weekday per site and 3.7 hours over the weekend.

Hospitals with Fixed MR:

  • Average Hours Open per Weekday per Site: 12.6
  • Average Hours Open per Weekend per Site: 12.5

Hospitals with Mobile MR

  • Average Hours Open per Weekday per Site: 6.1
  • Average Hours Open per Weekend per Site: 3.7

With increased procedure volumes in hospital sites, the impetus to improve MRI department workflow and productivity, and the higher adoption rates of AI tools among larger hospital sites, workflow and efficiency results hospitals may be able to achieve will be interesting to monitor.
