“Someone Must Die”: a gripping, startling, and breathtaking tale of the efforts of a group of courageous missionaries to save two bands of a nomadic Amazonian tribe from annihilation by the people encroaching on their territory. “Someone Must Die” is the creation of published author, Alan Foster, who was raised by missionary parents in the Bolivian Amazon.

Foster writes: “As missionaries, our concern goes beyond preserving the body, since man’s eternal relationship with God is of the greatest importance. Much of the story is compiled from journals and letters written by my father, Les Foster, or from my journals, letters, and memories about our experiences, along with our many missionary colleagues, in befriending and helping the once hostile nomads settle down.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Alan Foster’s new book is the incredible true story of how two small bands of hostile nomads, now known as the Yuquí, were befriended by a group of courageous missionaries who placed their trust fully in God. Day after day, the missionaries put their lives at risk in the western Bolivian Amazon in order to make friends with the jungle dwellers, thus sparing the tribe from annihilation by those who were invading their territory.
