California’s (EDD) released its latest report of L.A. County’s unemployment rate jumping from 4.3% in February to 6.3% in March causing more than 50% of Los Angeles residents to become unemployed. This inspired RelievedMD.com, the telehealth program from First Aid Urgent Care, a community urgent care in Los Angeles, to offer virtual visits online to those affected by the COVID-19 crisis by connecting families to providers for FREE on select days of the month in April and May. This means that if you have lost your insurance because you were let go from your job due to COVID-19, RelieveMD.com will do their part to help soften the blow.

Relieve MD is also partnered with Pharm Doc, to help coordinate with over 100 participating California pharmacies to help refill prescriptions online and have them delivered.

Here’s how it works… During pre-selected days in April and May, there will be dedicated available time slots set aside to treat patients who want to be seen via telemedicine, this will be conducted on a first-call first-serve basis. If a person has succumb to hardship due to Covid-19 disaster and has lost their job but has existing insurance, Relieve MD will waive the co-pays as a courtesy.
