Amplifi Hearing, a new company focused on advancing hearing care delivery today announced the release of EarScript, an iPad app that makes comparing and selecting a hearing aid based on a patient’s own hearing profile a reality.
Amplifi was formed in 2021 by industry veterans, with a mission to help move the needle on how hearing care is delivered. EarScript is a patented* process that enables a patient to listen to a variety of hearing aids in different listening conditions that is tailored to their own hearing pattern and offers a new and better way to compare and select the best hearing device for their needs.
EarScript was developed and patented by Dr. Andre Marcoux in 2015 as a way to provide his patients with a better and more engaged level of hearing care. Amplifi Hearing has acquired the product and patent to bring EarScript to the global market, with initial focus on the United States and Canada.
The EarScript process is covered by both U.S. and Canadian patents and is both easy to install and use and acts as a great sales and marketing tool for hearing care providers. The app can save time for both hearing care professionals and patients, and result in fewer returns.
The recording process for the hearing aids available through EarScript is rigorous and carefully controlled so that a true comparison of different devices can be offered in listening conditions including speech in noise, speech in quiet, and both jazz and orchestral samples for each hearing aid. Various hearing patterns are recorded for each hearing aid, which enables the patient to hear the various aids in a way that closely matches their hearing condition.
The EarScript iPad app is offered as a downloadable software on either annual or semi-annual subscription basis and is very affordable for hearing care professionals and device manufacturers.
