AMH partners with Soza Health UK to provide underlying health score services in Bahrain

Soza’s wellness assessment is really relevant, not just for identifying a covid risk score, which it can do, but also making a really positive contribution to preventative health in Bahrain and the GCC” His Excellency the HM Ambassador to Bahrain Roderick Drummond

The American Mission Hospital (AMH) has partnered up with Soza Health UK and Dhu3 to conduct health assessments in Bahrain.

Under the theme ‘Wellness in the workplace’ – Protecting your employees’ it has launched the SOZA Health ‘pilot’ assessment program in which, companies can book appointments to conduct Soza Health assessments for their staff.

Trained AMH staff have been visiting the companies and conducting assessments, through the scheduling of AMH and Dhu3, the local partner in Bahrain. So far 250 assessments have taken place, with individuals already seeing an improvement in their health.

It takes less than an hour for each staff member’s Soza assessment, which provides immediate information on where each member stands on the health and wellness spectrum. A customized and confidential report, with suggestions for actionable steps toward better health, is then provided to each employee at the end of their assessment.

“At AMH, we now focus more on wellness initiatives because illness treatments can be avoided with healthy lifestyles. With organizations like Soza Health, which base their testing systems and algorithms on excellent medical research, we can show a health report card to customers so that they can take appropriate corrective steps in nutrition and fitness. And these remedial lifestyles could even result in greater immunization against illnesses”, said Dr. George Cheriyan, the Corporate CEO of AMH.

“With 90 data readings taken in just over 35 minutes, and loaded into Soza’s secure cloud system, each customer would know how his or her body is performing from the health rating they receive”, said Tim King, the CEO of SOZA Health UK, during his visit to Bahrain in the last week of October 2020.

“Due to an incredible response the pilot program, initially scheduled to run from 1st Nov – 31st Dec 2020, is now being extended to the 28-Feb 2021. We are delighted that the support for Wellness in the workplace : Protecting your employees has surpassed our expectations. As a result of the response, American Mission Hospital and Dhu3 are working together with all pilot participants to ensure that SOZA Health is available to all in Bahrain in 2021” said Paul Groom, Director of Dhu3.

Interested companies can contact Renjith Thomas, the head of Corporate Medical Insurance at AMH for discussions on how this Programme can benefit the employers, employees and insurance companies.

The companies in Bahrain which have already signed up for these assessments are:

  • BKIC – the first insurance company
  • Gulf Hotel – the first hotel group
  • Al Bastaki – the first family business
