Keeping up its tradition of a culture of compliance and encouraging employees to follow the highest of standards, Aegis Therapies announced today that it will be participating in Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week, organized each year by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics & Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE & HCCA). As a part of its efforts Aegis will be promoting Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week on social media, reminding all Aegis employees internally of Aegis’ four step communication process and utilizing internal communication channels to ensure employees are aware of the company’s compliance and ethics program.
“Aegis Therapies is committed to maintaining a culture of compliance where we ensure that the care we provide is of the highest quality and meets the needs of our patients, employees and partners,” said Martha Schram, President and CEO of Aegis Therapies.
Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week is an extension of Aegis’ ongoing compliance and ethics program, which is headed by Becky Smith, Chief Compliance Officer. Aegis has a code of conduct that all employees are expected to follow. The code calls on employees to, “to respect the dignity of our patients, to always act in accordance with our values and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.”
Company-wide compliance and ethics education, held annually allows our organization to roll-out new and updated compliance and ethics program policies and reinforce with employees their compliance and ethics obligations. Participation in Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week gives additional opportunity to shine a spotlight on the importance of compliance and ethics and boost compliance culture.
“The Aegis Therapies Code of Conduct and Business Ethics is the guide for our employees to ensure that they are making the right decisions. It supports our teams in performing their job responsibilities in a manner that complies with our policies and company expectations,” said Becky Smith, Chief Compliance Officer at Aegis Therapies, noting the a full copy of the Code of Conduct could be found online at https://aegistherapies.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/CodeofConduct.pdf
