Advera Health Data Now Available via Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point

Advera Health Analytics, a market leader in cloud-based software and data-as-a-service drug safety solutions, today announced that its drug safety data is available to Bloomberg Data License clients via Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point. The data available will include drug safety risk signals that Advera curates from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) data. FAERS is the U.S. national database containing information on drug adverse events and medication errors voluntarily reported to FDA about marketed drugs. Advera is a market leader in providing optimized and cleansed FAERS data, statistical analysis, and critical workflow tools to pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, and large healthcare providers.

Advera’s FAERS database contains over 13 million adverse drug event reports, with 1.5 million events reported in 2019 alone. Every adverse drug event report is mapped to the appropriate pharmaceutical company, drug, condition, indication, and mechanism of action and also contains de-identified patient demographic data. Drug label information and statistical calculations of disproportionate reporting are also provided. Bloomberg Data License clients will be able to use Advera’s data for drug, company, and sector risk modeling.

“Post-marketing adverse event data can be used as a leading indicator for a variety of market triggers”, said Brian Overstreet, President and CEO of Advera Health. “The curated drug safety risk signals that we are providing to Bloomberg Data License subscribers can be used to detect emerging safety issues in approved drugs. The investment community is constantly looking for an edge and can now find it with quality data and advanced analytics. We’re excited to be working with Bloomberg and to be able to offer our drug safety data to their subscribers.”
