Abel Communications is pleased to announce that President Gina Richmond has been appointed to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Metropolitan Baltimore board. For over 40 years, NAMI has provided advocacy, education, support and public awareness to families affected by mental illness.
NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, an affiliate of The National Alliance on Mental Illness, works with dedicated grassroots leaders to raise awareness and provide essential education, advocacy and support group programs for people living with mental illness and their loved ones in the Baltimore City and Baltimore County area. In 2019 alone, they provided more than 9,500 touch points of service to people in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

With over 20 years of professional experience, Richmond has developed and implemented successful strategic communications programs for clients—from Fortune 500 companies to national non-profit organizations. In her role as President of Abel Communications, Gina oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, leads staff and provides strategic counsel to help clients achieve their business goals. She has helped Abel Communications win more than a dozen PR industry awards and was named one of the Baltimore Business Journal’s 40 under 40.
