The Abdominal Core Health Quality Collaborative is pleased to announce that it has recently surpassed the milestone of 75,000 patients in its online registry platform. Founded in 2013, the ACHQC is a non-profit collaborative focused on maximizing quality and value of care delivered to patients with hernias and other abdominal core diseases.

“We have made tremendous advances over the past 7 years as a Collaborative and this significant achievement is a direct result of the dedication and commitment of over 450 ACHQC participating surgeons, their patients and clinical care teams across the country,” shared Michael Rosen, MD, ACHQC President and Medical Director.

The ACHQC Registry is a robust real world data collection tool for capturing clinically relevant information pertaining to abdominal core surgeries. Through continuous quality improvement and rigorous data analyses, the Collaborate leverages the real world experiences across interrelated stakeholders to improve the continuum of patient care.

“Over the last year we have been limited in our ability to interact personally with colleagues, partners and the communities the Collaborative serves, but our efforts and focus on using the substantial data set collected in our registry to answer clinically meaningful questions has continued,” affirmed Ben Poulose, MD, ACHQC Director of Quality and Outcomes. “We are committed to sharing these important insights. I’m happy to confirm that we will be holding our 3rd Annual Quality Improvement Summit in 2021.”

Featuring engaging sessions and networking opportunities with thought leaders and high performers in the field of abdominal core health, the QI Summit is one of the most anticipated and highly valued ACHQC programs each year. Due to current conditions and uncertainties, the ACHQC has reimagined this year’s Summit as a 100% virtual program scheduled for Saturday March 20, 2021 beginning at noon EST.
