CSOFT Health Sciences, leaders in medical translations, are pleased to announce a successful gathering for the 17th annual A Taste of Ginger on September 19th with CSOFT founder and CEO Shunee Yee as event Co-Chair, marking the event’s first return to in-person gathering following the pandemic.
Hosted by Harvard University’s Joslin Diabetes Center and the Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI), A Taste of Ginger is a culinary fundraising event dedicated to addressing the disproportionate impact of diabetes among Asian American demographics. Following two years that limited the event to remote attendance, this year’s gathering took place at the Cyclorama of the Boston Center for the Arts, featuring offerings from top Boston restaurants amid talks from Dr. George King, MD and the AADI’s leadership committee, as well as remarks from Boston’s Mayor, Michelle Wu.
“The mission of the AADI is very important to me as I recognize the importance of improving access to health care in our communities and advancing science to improve quality of life, and I am honored to serve as co-chair of this event. By making sure diverse community voices are incorporated into healthcare discussions, the AADI is improving outcomes for Asian American patients with diabetes,” Ms. Yee said.
“A Taste of Ginger is an important opportunity to focus for the underrepresentation of Asian Americans in clinical trials for conditions that disproportionately affect this demographic. After adapting to surviving the pandemic, it is great and comforting to see this important event gathering in person once again,” Dr. King said.
Founded in 2000 to address disparities in health research, the AADI’s mission has gained critical focus during the pandemic amid heightened health risks for individuals living with diabetes. As a patient-centric communication partner to Joslin Diabetes Center and sponsor of A Taste of Ginger, CSOFT has extended its resources throughout the pandemic to deliver crucial diabetes management information to patients accessing support across languages.
Headquartered in Boston’s Back Bay, CSOFT Health Sciences provides end-to-end medical translation services for all phases of the product lifecycle, from pre-clinical to post-launch, as well as specializing in market access consulting, medical writing, and CTD/eCTD submissions with the FDA, EMA, and NMPA.
