Zimmer Biomet Announces Successful Completion of First Surgery Using the Persona® Revision Knee System

Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. (NYSE and SIX: ZBH), a global leader in musculoskeletal healthcare, announced the completion of the first surgery using the recently FDA cleared Persona Revision Knee System for a revision knee arthroplasty procedure. The case was performed by David Lewallen, MD in Rochester, Minnesota.

“This is a very intuitive, elegant and powerful revision system,” said David Lewallen, MD. “Used with cemented stems it is also quite simple, with limited instrumentation and very adaptable to a wide range of patient anatomic variations and bone defects.”        

The Persona Revision Knee System offers anatomic implant geometry to achieve the desired bone coverage, fixation1 and stability to provide patients an individualized implant fit to personalize revision knee arthroplasty based on patient anatomy.
