LabArchives releases Molecular Biology Course Pack within Lab Builder

LabArchives, the leading digital lab notebook for course instruction, released a molecular biology course pack within the LabArchives learning platform. The course pack also includes access to SnapGene, the leading molecular biology software solution.

The molecular biology course pack is an all-in-one package for instructors to use in relevant courses. The course pack comes with access to LabArchives, molecular biology software SnapGene and content designed for course instruction. While this first course pack release is designed for molecular biology, LabArchives has prepared similar ready-made content for a variety of subjects.

This molecular biology course pack includes two modules containing 19 labs and supporting materials (prep sheets, instructor support materials and more). The pack delivers two different semester-long projects that utilize key molecular biology techniques and computational tools. Instructors can pick and customize content from the course pack to align with teaching objectives and available equipment.

For students, this content provides an authentic learning experience. This course pack utilizes tools and technology used in professional research labs. The LabArchives ELN and SnapGene can be found in many ‘real world’ molecular biology labs. Students will also learn to direct their own inquiry, a valuable skill as they move forward in any lab setting.

LabArchives will expand content offerings in other major disciplines. A third module to the molecular biology course pack is in process and additional labs and instructor resources will be added soon.
