ABOUT: OPERATION SONG is a national nonprofit, based in Nashville TN, that pairs professional songwriters and veterans to turn their stories of service, camaraderie, and bravery into songs. The cathartic writing process helps Veterans unlock and express deeply personal sentiments. By turning memories into lasting mementos, veterans also gain a way to “talk” to friends and family about their feelings. Participating veterans write with songwriters, see their stories performed in public, and receive a recorded copy of their songs, free of charge. Operation Song works with North Country Troopers Assisting Troops, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Warriors Heart and others who serve veterans across the country since 2012 when the organization was founded by Grammy & Dove Award nom’d songwriter Bob Regan (11-time recipient of ASCAP’s Most Performed Song Award). https://www.operationsong.org/
