“Maintaining the highest-level of patient confidentiality, security, and compliance is paramount in healthcare,” said J. Michael Fehr, Vice President, Commercial Operations at Juno Health. “By completing our SOC 2 Type 1 audit, we are better positioned to meet these needs.”

Juno Health, the commercial division of DSS, Inc., today announced its successful completion of its SOC 2 Type 1 audit for its Juno Emergency Services Solution (JESS) and Juno RxTracker offerings, as part of its commitment to security and developing smarter, more flexible digital healthcare solutions.

The SOC 2 audit was conducted by leading compliance assessor A-LIGN, a technology-enabled security and compliance partner trusted by more than 2,500 global organizations to help mitigate cybersecurity risks.

“Maintaining the highest-level of patient confidentiality, security, and compliance is paramount in healthcare,” said J. Michael Fehr, Vice President, Commercial Operations at Juno Health. “By completing our SOC 2 Type 1 audit, we are better positioned to meet these needs and continue our ongoing development of healthcare software solutions that meet patients’ needs and streamline clinicians’ use of healthcare applications.”

Designed by clinicians for clinicians, Juno RxTracker offers streamlined ePrescribing for faster more intuitive workflows. It is also an EPCS-certified solution that boosts patient safety through an automated electronic prescription process for all medications, including controlled substances.

With the vision of achieving better patient outcomes in emergency departments, Juno Health’s JESS leverages real-time data, and provides clear practice management oversight with rich reporting for tracking and improving all care efforts.

Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 Type 1 examination is designed for organizations of any size, regardless of industry and scope, to ensure the personal assets of their potential and existing customers are protected. SOC 2 reports are recognized globally and affirm that a company’s infrastructure, software, people, data, policies, procedures, and operations have been formally reviewed.

“A SOC 2 audit is a statement about an organization’s commitment to protecting their information,” said Stephanie Oyler-Rankin, SOC Practice Lead at A-LIGN. “As a trusted third-party assessment firm, A-LIGN independently evaluates client data processes and procedures, governance on internal controls, and security posture. Juno Health’s SOC 2 report validates its commitment to data security and protection, as well as compliance with critical standards to mitigate cybersecurity threats.”
