We saw an opportunity to make running, a rather lonely sport, exhilarating! Matthew Knippen, CEO Charge Running

Charge Running is joining the fight against cardiovascular disease and stroke by supporting the American Heart Association, the world’s leading voluntary organization focused on heart and brain health. Beginning in November, Charge Running is participating in the American Heart Association’s fundraising campaign, Life Is Why We Give™.

“We are excited to be working with the American Heart Association because we share the same vision of promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle. We all know the benefits cardio can have on our health, but it can be hard to get motivated. Charge Running has set out to change that. We saw an opportunity to make running, a rather lonely sport, exhilarating,” said Matthew Knippen, Charge Running’s co-founder and CEO.

From November 7, 2019 through March 7, 2020, Charge Running will donate to the American Heart Association the first month’s membership fee from each new subscriber when they register with the code HEALTHY4GOOD.

The American Heart Association, the largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, has funded more than $4.1 billion in research since 1949, including 13 Nobel Prize winners. The Association has also supported legislation that ensures newborns in 47 states are screened for critical congenital heart defects and trains more than 2.5 million high school students in CPR annually.

In addition to contributing to save lives through Charge Running, donations can also be made directly to the American Heart Association at http://www.heart.org/lifeiswhywegive. About Life Is Why We Give

We all deserve to live a long, healthy and happy life. However, heart disease and stroke are robbing too many of us of this chance. The American Heart Association is working to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to have a quality of life that they can spend more joyfully with family and friends. When people donate or purchase goods and services from our Life is Why We Give cause supporters, we move closer to creating the quality of life we all desire. For too long, heart disease and stroke have stolen our precious moments. It’s time we fight back together and affirm that we’re more powerful than these diseases… because everyone has a reason to live a longer, healthier life… and that reason is why we give.
