Whatever the industry, when you work in a facility with hazardous chemicals, both the risk variables and the regulatory requirements can be continuously changing. We don’t want our partner organizations worrying about that.” -Akiladevi Mannarswamy, Product Manager for SafetyStratus.

SafetyStratus, a leading provider of user-friendly, cloud-based software solutions for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) management, today announced an expansion to its automated regulatory reporting capabilities. The SafetyStratus chemical inventory management module was upgraded to include several new local, state, and federal regulatory reporting templates for the immediate export of data. With this addition, localized and far-ranging user communities can access the extensive SafetyStratus chemical database to generate complex regulatory reports for print, transfer, or sharing with the appropriate authorities.
Many facilities will need to annually submit data for their hazardous chemicals onsite. By utilizing the reporting functionality’s templates to crosscheck database filters such as location (i.e., building, room, bench number, etc.), hazards, quantities, and other inclusion criteria, users can export data for mixtures, thresholds, and concentrations of any of the compounds within their inventory. If quantities within the inventory exceed the limit for a certain report, that compound will be flagged on the file that users receive when they export that data. Recent template additions include state-specific Tier II reports, such as the Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) Report for California and the New York City Community Right to Know (NYC RTK) Report for New York.
Speaking to the fact that the security of chemicals is not only high-risk but an ongoing issue, SafetyStratus’ Product Manager, Akiladevi Mannarswamy states, “Whatever the industry, when you work in a facility with hazardous chemicals, both the risk variables and the regulatory requirements can be continuously changing. We don’t want our partner organizations worrying about that. That’s why I am proud to be on a team that is playing a role in the digital transformation of database management and recordkeeping. We want to enable safety-centric operations.” As a cloud-based SaaS solution, user communities will have immediate access to module-applicable updates as the SafetyStratus platform continues to expand over time.
