MEDITECH’s support of SMART-on-FHIR is in line with industry best practices for interoperability, and by integrating with Greenfield, we’re able to offer MEDITECH customers a streamlined experience with patient-generated data and the Rimidi platform.
ATLANTA (PRWEB)
April 17, 2023
Rimidi, a leading clinical management platform designed to optimize clinical workflows, enhance patient experiences and achieve quality objectives, today announced the company is now integrated with MEDITECH Greenfield. As a result of the new collaboration, MEDITECH customers are now able to utilize Rimidi’s cloud-based software platform within their existing workflow, further enhancing efforts to support efficient models of care for chronic disease management through Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) application programming interface (APIs).
The healthcare industry initially adopted FHIR as the protocol of choice for API-based data exchange to enable a seamless transfer of patient health information from multiple data sources. As the industry continues to strive toward a value-based care model, the overall healthcare API market is expected to increase to $309.86 million by 2032, allowing for more enhanced collaboration to enable better patient care.
Rimidi’s integration with MEDITECH allows clinicians to use Rimidi within their existing MEDITECH workflow. Specifically, the integration:
- Enables MEDITECH users to see remote patient-generated data from connected devices and Patient Reported Outcomes Measures within disease-specific views in the patient chart for efficient chronic disease management.
- Provides insights and clinical decision support to drive next best steps in care and close gaps versus practice guidelines to optimize outcomes in patients with complex chronic conditions.
“We’re excited to add MEDITECH to our portfolio of Electronic Health Record integration partners,” said Lucienne Ide, MD, PhD, Founder and CEO of Rimidi. “MEDITECH’s support of SMART-on-FHIR is in line with industry best practices for interoperability, and by integrating with Greenfield, we’re able to offer MEDITECH customers a streamlined experience with patient-generated data and the Rimidi platform.”
Dr. Ide will be presenting at the HL7 booth at HIMSS, highlighting Rimidi’s experience implementing their SMART-on-FHIR platform across multiple EHRs, as well as clinical outcomes seen with clients so far. The presentations, FHIR Solutions Showcasing Real-World Implementations, will be held Tuesday, April 18 from 1- 2 p.m. CT and Thursday, April 20 from 1-2 p.m. CT.
