The National Association of Professional Agents (NAPA) has partnered with MetLife to offer disability insurance to its members. NAPA offers a portfolio of insurance products and professional services, including Errors & Omissions, Life, Health and other ancillary offerings to over 100,000 independent insurance agents nationwide.
Providing options for both Long-Term Disability (LTD) and Business Overhead Expense (BOE) coverage, the new products will help agents cover personal and business expenses if they become disabled. The new program enables NAPA members to purchase up to $6,000 per month in long-term disability income and $20,000 per month in business overhead expense protection via an online application located on the NAPA website.
Both of the new benefits help protect enrolled members cope with periods of disability. These include:
· Survivor Benefit / Lump Sum Survivor Benefit
· Waiver of Premium
· Own Occupation Disability coverage
· No offsets with ongoing renewal commissions
· Many additional benefits
To view all program eligibility requirements and benefits, visit the NAPA website and review the benefit summaries.
According to Sara Stein, Senior Vice President, Group Member Programs, “NAPA has a strong history of providing valuable insurance and non-insurance benefits to members.
Disability insurance is especially valuable because, without it, personal and business expenses can quickly deplete an agent’s assets, which can cause severe financial stress.”
Stein added, “Having a reputable, financially sound insurance company is essential for disabled insurance agents. No one wants to buy insurance only to find out later that the company can’t cover its claims. NAPA selected MetLife as a partner because of its long history as a market leader.”
The program’s underwriter is MetLife, Inc., a leading global provider of insurance, annuities and employee benefit programs.
