On Monday, February 6, all Texas Roadhouse and Bubba’s 33 locations will donate 100 percent of the day’s profits to the American Tinnitus Association (ATA) in honor of the company’s late founder, Kent Taylor. The public is invited to show their support by dining (or ordering to-go) at any Texas Roadhouse or Bubba’s 33 location on February 6, which marks the first day of Tinnitus Awareness Week. The week pays tribute to the challenges faced by more than 26 million adults in the United States who experience tinnitus, an audiological and neurological condition often referred to as “ringing in the ears.” The condition can be mild, moderate, or severe, resulting in reduced quality of life and well-being, depending on the severity.
In addition to the restaurant fundraiser, Texas Roadhouse will sell ATA-branded gift cards through March 31 and donate 10 percent of online sales from those cards to the ATA. The gift cards are available online at texasroadhouse.com.
“Our partnership with Texas Roadhouse and Bubba’s 33 enables the ATA to advance tinnitus research through increased grant funding, as well as patient support services,” says David Hadley, chair of the ATA Board of Directors. “We are extraordinarily grateful to have the opportunity to raise awareness of tinnitus with Texas Roadhouse and Bubba’s 33, because, despite its prevalence, tinnitus remains a poorly understood condition among the public and is severely underfunded. Our partnership helps us raise awareness of the millions of people with tinnitus and brings us closer to finding meaningful relief for them.”
Texas Roadhouse CEO and President Jerry Morgan shares, “We are sincerely committed to supporting the ATA’s mission to raise awareness of tinnitus, fund research, and help people who are suffering. Texas Roadhouse and our family of Roadies honor the life and vision of our Founder Kent Taylor, who was passionate about helping others.”
