Bupa NZ and Unimarket partner to simplify procurement in aged care.

Unimarket’s eProcurement solution is easy to use, reduces processing time through automation and allows us to introduce a single process for all of our purchasing needs.

Bupa New Zealand will automate and simplify procurement by implementing Unimarket’s eProcurement solution, the software company announced today.

The trusted global healthcare brand will roll out Unimarket’s comprehensive eProcurement+ solution across more than 50 retirement villages and care homes in New Zealand in the first half of 2023.

Tania Killeen-Noy, Bupa New Zealand Procurement Manager, says that ease of use was a key consideration when choosing a new procurement platform.

“Our care teams do incredibly important work supporting the needs of older New Zealanders and their families. An intuitive tool that empowers them to purchase what they need without distracting them from that work is a priority,” says Killeen-Noy.

“Unimarket’s eProcurement solution is easy to use, reduces processing time through automation, and allows us to introduce a single process for all of our purchasing needs.”

The eProcurement+ solution will allow the aged care service provider to manage the entire procurement process, from purchasing through an easy-to-use marketplace and automating approvals, to simplified electronic invoicing.

Unimarket has worked closely with Bupa New Zealand to clarify requirements and the local Unimarket team in New Zealand will continue to be a dedicated partner from implementation to go live, and beyond.

Peter Kane, CEO of Unimarket, says that he is excited about the new partnership and is looking forward to seeing what Bupa New Zealand and Unimarket can achieve together in the coming months and years.

“The opportunity to collaborate with Bupa New Zealand and support their vital work is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for Unimarket,” says Kane.

“Our eProcurement+ solution is a great fit for their needs and we’re looking forward to helping them achieve their procurement objectives and empowering their staff to manage their own buying in a fully compliant way.”
