Sunshine Dentistry has been named a 2022 Best of Jersey Shore business in the fields of Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Pediatric Dentistry. Sunshine Dentistry is an all-age dental practice that provides lifelong care for patients beginning with a child’s first dental exam. The practice offers preventative care, restorative care, pediatric care, cosmetic dental treatments, treatment for TMJ disorders, and treatment for sleep disorders including sleep apnea.

Thomas, who launched Sunshine Dentistry in 1996. “It is truly our privilege to treat patients of all ages, and at all stages of life. The science is clear that establishing and maintaining good oral health is vital to good overall health. It is our mission to provide the dental services needed from infancy to ensure our friends and neighbors in Middle Township receive the very best dental care available.”
In addition to Dr. Thomas, who earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) from Tufts University before serving in the United States Army Dental Corp, Dr. Aleesha Kapoor and Dr. Tyler Kane also serve the pediatric, restorative, cosmetic, and general dentistry needs of the Jersey Shore community.
Dr. Aleesha Kapoor, earned her undergraduate degree from Villanova University, before attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Dr. Kapoor provides dental care for children as well as adults.
Dr. Tyler Kane completed his undergraduate work at Penn State before earning his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kane is currently pursuing a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Sunshine Dentistry is a unique family dental practice in that they specialize in the treatment of potentially life-threatening sleep disorders. As a Diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and a Member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Thomas and his team provide non-surgical and non-pharmacological treatment for sleep-disordered breathing in children and sleep apnea in adults.
Dr. Thomas is well-known for his volunteerism, educational outreach, and significant contributions to the dental profession. He has served as a Volunteer Dentist for the Veterans Smile Day Nation Program, volunteered with the non-profit organization Dentistry From the Heart, and served as a Red Cross Board Member. Additionally, he has donated his time and talents as a Volunteer Dentist in Community Clinics for many years. Dr. Thomas has previously been named a Top Doctor in New Jersey, in the field of Dentistry. He received the Middle Township Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016.
