Dr. Steven Miyamoto has been named a top Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Orange County, CA by Orange Coast Magazine. Dr. Miyamoto, who is also an inspector for the California State Boards, and helped write the licensure test for Dental Sedation Assistants employs three certified oral surgery assistants. This puts Fullerton Oral Surgery among the top 1% of all oral surgery practices to boast this many certified assistants.

Dr. Miyamoto has a long history of service beyond his surgical practice. He has served for several years as the Membership Chairman for the Orange County Dental Society. Previously he served as Chairman of the California Dental Association New Professional Committee. He has also served as a Delegate at the California Dental Association House of Delegates and as a liaison on the CDA Membership Committee, and Committee on Education and Professional Relations.

For many years, Dr. Miyamoto has also organized and performed Oral and Maxillofacial surgeries as a volunteer in Mexico, China, and Guatemala. Dental students from UCLA–Dr. Miyamoto’s alma mater– join him on these medical mission trips.

Dr. Steven Miyamoto earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from UCLA Dental School. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
