Scottsdale-Based Addiction Center Adds 15 Employees To Growing Roster Of Recovery Professionals

“At Soul Surgery our primary objective is to save lives,” said CEO and Founder John Mulligan.

Soul Surgery, a Scottsdale-based leading integrative medicine addiction center for those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and mental health challenges, has hired 15 employees in the past 60 days.

The 15 new hires include the following positions: 10 behavioral health technicians (BHTs), two case managers, one ASU clinical intern, one business development representative, and one transportation coordinator.

The additional employees are part of Soul Surgery’s ongoing efforts to expand staffing to help as many people become recovered as possible. Addiction recovery is an underserved industry and there are often waitlists at excellent centers due to a shortage of the right addiction recovery professionals.

“At Soul Surgery our primary objective is to save lives,” said CEO and Founder John Mulligan. “Our blend of cutting-edge facilities and treatment including all ancillary services on-site helps us to fulfill this mission, yet that is only part of the equation to succeed. We need expert staff and we’ve been extremely fortunate that our reputation as one of the leading addiction recovery centers has allowed us to both attract and retain the best of the best. We plan to continue our growth trajectory to achieve our mission.”

Now with the 15 new additions to the team, Soul Surgery has 75 team members employed, working as case managers, eating disorder recovery therapists, facility operators, holistic wellness coaches, medical directors, and every other practice area necessary to help clients recover.

“We’re very intentional in our hiring process,” said Mulligan. “Addiction recovery is a delicate niche, and our staff needs to be equipped to manage difficult cases. Each one of the 15 new hires adds valuable experience and skills to the team. Their presence is pivotal to continue our lifesaving work.”

Soul Surgery incorporates a dual-diagnosis approach with each staff member playing a role in the recovery journey. This helps treat physical addiction along with mental health diagnoses concurrently. Soul Surgery’s continued hiring efforts are a direct reflection of the practices it implements in every step of recovery and beyond.
