Local Physician and Pharmacy to Donate 125 Turkeys to Trenton Residents

WHAT: Local internist and Pediatrician, Dr. Vedat Obuz and Pharmacist Mehmed Ugur are refusing to let Trentonians go hungry this Thanksgiving. The two have teamed up to donate 125 turkeys to their local Trenton neighbors. Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora will also be on hand to distribute turkeys to members of the Reading Senior Center in Trenton, patients and local residents.

With a 73% price increase in turkeys this year over last year, Dr. Vedat Obuz, Founder of Lotus Clinics, and Mehmed Ugur, Owner of Medical Home Pharmacy are helping Trentonian families with a traditional Turkey giveaway Friday, November 18, 2022 at 3 PM.Inflation, hunger and more have put thousands of local families and residents at risk The turkeys will be distributed to local Trenton residents who cannot afford a turkey meal this Thanksgiving. Dr. Obuz, explains why he initiated the donation. “We have become a large family and part of the entire community through senior pageants and holiday season activities. I know how difficult this time of year can be for so many of our neighbors. As families are gathering, we wanted to make sure they didn’t worry about basic necessities such as food.”

Respected and much loved Internist and Pediatrician, Dr. Vedat Obuz, has been serving the Trenton, New Jersey area for more than 20 years. He established his practice Lotus Clinics in 1999 as a primary care clinic through the years had become premier medical home for thousands of Trenton residents.

Mehmed Ugur established Medical Home Pharmacy in 2009. Located in Trenton NJ, they currently have two locations in Trenton NJ. Medical Home Pharmacy is a retail pharmacy that specializes in compounding, individual strip packaging, free delivery and covid testing and vaccines. Medical Home Pharmacy has administered the largest number of Covid vaccines in the Trenton area.
