CNI College Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students Clarisse Paul and Jonathan Calderon have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the California Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA). Ms. Paul will serve as the Vice President and Mr. Calderon will serve as a General Board Member. CNSA is a constituent chapter of the National Student Nursing Association (NSNA) and has over 5,000 members state-wide. The members are committed in seeking optimal educational, developmental, and professional growth within today’s various healthcare settings.
“As someone who one day wants to be involved in nursing education, I wanted to be on the board to work alongside people from other programs with similar goals and aspirations. I am looking forward to advocating for our classmates and promoting a good learning experience for students around the state,” said Jonathan Calderon.
“I took this position to become an advocate for change and to represent our student body,” said Clarisse Paul on her election.
“We are incredibly proud of Jonathan and Clarisse in their election to the CNSA Board,” said CNI College founder Colleen Buffington. “Their dedication to the field of nursing is encouraging to their classmates, faculty, and staff at CNI College. We are inspired by their leadership and commitment to serve their fellow nursing students and healthcare community throughout California.”
