Fresh Tri Partners with Walmart to Add Chronic Condition Management to its Habit Building App for Walmart Associates to Improve Their Health Between Clinician Visits

“At Fresh Tri, our goal is to provide cutting-edge behavioral software that helps individuals build a long-term healthy lifestyle they love,” said Kyra Bobinet, MD, MPH, Fresh Tri’s Founder and CEO.

Fresh Tri®, a neuroscience-based digital health company, recently released an update to its healthy habit-formation software, licensed by Walmart for its 1.6 million associates since 2017. The behavior-change app uses clinical guideline-based algorithms to now support chronic condition management, personalizing each care journey to improve outcomes, continuity, and retention between clinician visits.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, six in ten Americans live with chronic conditions, which are a major contributor to the costs of health insurance premiums and employee medical claims. Fresh Tri provides a custom behavior-change platform that matches associates with evidence-based practices that have been shown to improve chronic conditions.

The platform leverages the Iterative Mindset Method™, a unique practice-and-adapt approach, to build lasting daily health habits that align with the user’s personality, lifestyle, needs and capacity.

“At Fresh Tri, our goal is to provide cutting-edge behavioral software that helps individuals build a long-term healthy lifestyle they love,” said Kyra Bobinet, MD, MPH, Fresh Tri’s Founder and CEO. “The clinical algorithms app update creates a highly personalized experience for each person by identifying habits to practice that are clinically proven to address their specific health conditions and fostering a more connected experience between patients and clinicians. Our platform now has the ability to close behavior-change gaps between clinician visits for any patient and nearly any condition.”

Key enhancements to the Fresh Tri app include:

  • Improved onboarding to help people find the right “starting point” based on their specific behavioral history and motivation
  • New neurotyping and clinical algorithms designed to match users to the right behavior at the right time through behavioral assessments
  • Updated home screen to make practice and iteration easier and more rewarding
  • More than 1,500 new clinical evidence- and guideline-based behaviors to support condition and disease management
  • Personalization engine to provide users with constantly refreshed guidance based on engagement, progress, and milestones
  • Over 600 mindset video trainings to build daily habits and solve everyday health problems

To date, the Fresh Tri app has over 363K downloads and 200k users. A free version of the app is available to Walmart associates and their families through the App Store and Google Play. Fresh Tri is customizable for clinicians, employers and healthcare organizations seeking to support weight loss and metabolic conditions, as well as various other clinical healthy-habit changes.
