myButterfly.AI, currently crowd funding on StartEngine, announced today that it has filed for a Pending Patent for it’s proprietary Medical Comprehension AI with the US PTO.

The patent application is directed to a novel method for explaining medical conversations between patients and their care givers. Based on published academic and other research sources, patient engagement is a key component in improving health outcomes. The same sources show that providing patients with relevant, understandable information and education is one path to activating them. myButterfly.ai believes that their ELI5 (Explain Like I’m 5) AI invention has the potential to educate patients as it comprehends complex terms and concepts into easy to understand language.

myButterfly.AI seeks to obtain patent protection for its technologies, as well as registering other intellectual property rights for its business and technology assets in the United States and internationally. myButterfly.AI aims to protect the technology, inventions and improvements that are commercially important to the development of its business using the most effective and efficient intellectual property instruments, including patents, trademarks and trade secrets.

This is the first of two pending patents in myButterfly.AI’s portfolio planned for this year. The patents are in two main areas, health and supply chain.
