The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) is pleased to announce the fifth annual Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School, a comprehensive educational program, taking place Jan. 17-21, 2023, in Austin, TX and virtually.
The SITC Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School will feature leading experts in the field who will provide attendees with a deep understanding of the core principles and clinical applications of tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of cancer immunotherapy and features separate tracks allowing participants to tailor their experience by selecting the educational path most relevant to their learning goals.
“The Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School provides attendees a comprehensive education in cancer immunotherapy for those already in the lab or the clinic,” said SITC President Patrick Hwu, MD. “By continuing to invest in the education and career development of those in the field, we can continue to lay the groundwork of bringing new immune-oncology leaders with a basis for using these skills to improve the lives of cancer patients.”
During the in-person and virtual program, Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School participants will learn about core principles of tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy, recent advancements in drug and biomarker technologies and their clinical application, clinical and preclinical trial data analysis methods, and best practices in trial design.
In addition to deepening their understanding of integral facets of the field of cancer immunotherapy, attendees will also be able to expand their professional network, developing new relationships with faculty and other thought leaders in this intimate setting through small group breakout sessions.
SITC’s Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School will take place in Austin, TX, Jan. 17–21, 2023. Registration rates and the program schedule are available at sitcancer.org/winterschool.
