“We couldn’t be more thrilled than to have Rai and Aleia using our newest product, the AURA Strap 2, to help them get in shape to compete at events like the World Athletics Championships and Olympic Games,” said Stas Gorbunov, CEO of AURA Devices.

Technology is transforming the sports industry. For athletes, many are increasing their potential by using wearable solutions to help them train and compete. AURA Devices, makers of wearable devices to monitor health, wellness, and activity, are proud to announce that track and field athletes Rai Benjamin and Aleia Hobbs, who were competing in the World Athletics Championships Oregon22, use the new AURA Strap 2 as part of their training.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled than to have Rai and Aleia using our newest product, the AURA Strap 2, to help them get in shape to compete at events like the World Athletics Championships and Olympic Games, the world’s two most prestigious track and field events,” said Stas Gorbunov, CEO of AURA Devices.

Rai, the American Record Holder and Olympic silver medalist over 400m hurdles and Olympic Champion in the 4x400m relay, defended his silver medal in Oregon noted, “I am delighted to partner with a company like AURA Devices that helps me monitor my health in such great detail. Being able to track my workout performance and muscle and fat composition with AURA Strap 2 is paramount to increasing my performance.”

Aleia, an American sprinter specializing in the 100m, was the fastest American woman in the 100m final, taking sixth place at the World Championships and winning gold as part of the 4x100m USA Relay Team. According to Alexa, “it’s a tremendous honor to partner with AURA Devices as an ambassador, and I am very excited to work with them in improving my performance by tracking my workouts and analyze my body composition with AURA Strap 2.”

The AURA Strap 2 provides a new health and wellness data tracking experience by allowing users to set goals and track their workout performance on their Apple Watch. The wrist-wearable Apple Watch accessory takes hand-to-hand bioelectrical impedance (BIA) measurements to provide the user with information about body composition and water level.

By performing bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), which measures how a person’s body changes as a result of exercise, AURA Strap 2 is the only wearable device that provides fat, muscle, and water balance measurement on the Apple Watch. From there, via AURA App version 3.0, users receive insights, personalized recommendations, and goal setting and management functions to assist them in optimizing their fitness performance and achieving their goals.

Held for the first time in the United States, the World Athletics Championships Oregon22 features over 1,900 athletes from 192 national federations, including 37 defending world champions. The competition spans ten days from July 15-24 at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon for a celebration of diversity, human potential, and athletic achievement.

The AURA Strap 2 is available in black exclusively for Apple Watch, Series 3 or later. It retails for $149 and is available on auradevices.io.
