“Loving your ears means you take care of them and one of the best ways to do so is by having your hearing evaluated annually when you turn 60.”

HearingLife, a leader in delivering life-changing, personalized hearing care, announces the launch of “Love Your Ears,” a new campaign designed to break down stigmas around hearing loss and educate consumers on ways to care for and enhance their hearing.

“Far too many people have difficulty accepting hearing loss, feeling ashamed that they no longer hear the world around them like they used to,” says Dr. Leslie Soiles, Chief Audiologist with HearingLife. “Through our Love Your Ears campaign, we want to turn those thoughts into positive ones – that hearing loss is a testament to living a full and interesting life – and that everyone should have the opportunity to love what you hear every day.”

The campaign was developed in response to insights gained from a global YouGov survey* in late 2021; the results of which demonstrated that hearing is not prioritized proactively among other health conditions. According to the survey, while 1 in 3 people will plan a vision test in 2022, just 1 in 10 intend on scheduling a hearing test.

The global survey of more than 24,000 reveals that hearing well positively impacts relationships; those who use a hearing aid are three times more likely to be happier than those without. Since treating their hearing loss, 40 percent of hearing aid wearers report having better conversations, a third feel more connected to their family and 25 percent say there is less stress on their relationship.

The campaign is live now on the HearingLife website and on TV in select markets, plus exposure includes direct mail, email, newspaper, and social media content on all HearingLife channels. Campaign communications focus on the intense emotions that hearing enables from dinner parties to a baby’s cry, to everyday conversations with family and friends. The campaign emphasizes the importance of getting your hearing tested, and if you experience hearing loss, there are resources, including personalized hearing care solutions that can help you effectively hear and communicate again.

Dr. Soiles adds, “Loving your ears means you take care of them and one of the best ways to do so is by having your hearing evaluated annually when you turn 60. If you experience any kind of hearing decline before 60, don’t hesitate to address it. The experts at HearingLife’s care centers can help diagnose the cause of hearing loss and offer the latest solutions to help you hear at your full potential.”
