Two local families, the Rode family and the Morman family, are excited to announce their new ownership of a local pet food and supplies business – Pet Wants Cape Fear. Pet Wants Cape Fear is a mobile business that offers free, personal delivery throughout New Hanover County and the surrounding areas.

“We love pets and people, so purchasing Pet Wants Cape Fear was a wonderful opportunity for our families. We wanted to provide an opportunity for people to create a community surrounding their pets, focusing on providing them with excellent nutrition and quality products. We are also excited about helping pets live long, healthy and happy lives,” Kim Rode said.

Pet Wants’ specially-crafted, private-label, nutritious pet food formulas are made in small batches with fresh, natural ingredients enhanced with vitamins and minerals for a complete and balanced diet in every bowl, all made in the USA. Pet Wants Cape Fear has multiple, fresh and healthy formulas of dog and cat food, treats, chews, as well as their own all-natural healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more.

Pet Wants has a money-back guarantee on the freshness and quality of the food and the company only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available. There’s no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products and Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, which makes the food great for animals with allergies.

“We think Pet Wants is more about the relationship we build with you and your pets than just the products – that’s part of why it’s so exciting for us. We’re looking forward to meeting pet families through the region and learning all about their furry friends,” Kassidy Rode said.

The Morman and Rode families have long histories in retail management experience, business ownership and technology. Ryan Mormon is a veteran, and Kim, Kassidy and Kiera Rode are active volunteers.

“Our combined backgrounds in business management, entrepreneurship, retail and logistics as well as our love for our pets and this community make us the perfect team to take Pet Wants Cape Fear to new heights. We can’t wait to meet everyone,” Kim said.
