Life After Diagnosis, SAA’s informational 7- part video series for those newly diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), has been honored with a MUSE Award for the best educational video and a Vega Award for the best interactive online video.
Presented annually, the Vega Digital Award recognizes the creative genius of digital content creators worldwide. Life After Diagnosis is receiving this year’s award for its video segment, Navigating Relationships with AS. As an interactive experience, the episode offers clickable tips and tailored sections covering strategies for effective communication. In addition, the MUSE Creative Awards honor creative professionals who utilize their talents to create digital content that inspires people to reach their highest potential.
“We are honored and thrilled to have received this honor for our educational resources,” said Elin Aslanyan, SAA’s Director of Programs and Editor-in-Chief for Spondylitis Plus Magazine. “Ankylosing spondylitis affects those living with the disease and their families. This video series is one of several resources we offer to help members of our community navigate their journeys with AS,” she added.
The video series, produced by the DVI Group and created in close partnership with members from the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network (SPARTAN), delivers helpful information and tips in short-form segments for easy comprehension. With input and expertise from rheumatologists, mental healthcare professionals, and patients, the series helps newly diagnosed patients with AS gain confidence and learn skills to manage their symptoms better. The series also helps to unify the patient experience through a holistic approach by addressing the physical, mental, and emotional impact of AS.
The video series was supported by an educational grant provided by Pfizer, with SAA being solely responsible for its content. To learn more about the Life After Diagnosis series or sign up, visit spondylitis.org/after-diagnosis.
