Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is proud to announce the opening of the practice’s fifth location in Medford, NY. The full-service pediatric dentistry and all-age orthodontic practice also has offices in Port Jefferson Station, Wading River, Sayville, and Smithtown. Dr. Scott Goldstein, and his team, previously of Pediatric Dentistry of Long Island are all now members of the Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics team based in Medford.
Before joining the Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics practice, Dr. Goldstein (known as Dr. Scott to patients) earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University and completed his residency at Kings County Medical Center. A fellowship at Stony Brook University Dental Center gave him extensive experience in working with patients with special needs. Dr. Goldstein was previously a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and re-entered later as a Major and Pediatric Dentist.
According to Dr. Goldstein, the welcome reception he’s received since joining the Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry team has been incredibly rewarding. “I’m so pleased to be working alongside so many dedicated, compassionate, and highly regarded colleagues. Our whole team is devoted to providing excellent oral care and education for all patients. We are highly trained in working with children with special needs, and those with dental fears and anxiety. I’m very proud to be a part of this long-standing practice in Suffolk County,” he said.
Treatments and services offered at the Medford location and the practice’s other locations include preventative and diagnostic dentistry, restorative dentistry, special needs dentistry, and operating room dentistry. Orthodontic services include early orthodontic treatment, interceptive orthodontics, Invisalign, traditional braces, and orthodontic retention.
Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics embraces the latest technologies to ensure patient comfort and outstanding results. The practice is equipped with the iTero 3D scanner for precise, painless, and quick 3D impressions. The practice also uses digital X-rays which result in reduced radiation exposure and offer improved diagnostic capabilities.
Biolase lasers are also used for some treatments, which reduce tissue loss. The use of lasers often eliminates the need for shots to numb regions of the mouth and may replace a dental drill for some procedures.

Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics was founded by Dr. Stephen Gold in 1976, as one of the first pediatric dental practices in Suffolk County. Today the practice has grown from one location and a staff of six people to five busy locations with 9 pediatric and adolescent dentists and three orthodontists.
