WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (PRWEB)
July 11, 2022
Solidifying a powerful partnership that began in 2015, Health Plans, Inc. (HPI) announced that on July 1, 2022, it acquired Employers Health Network (EHN), a company that develops and manages high-performing networks for employers seeking an alternative to the high cost of traditional managed care networks.
“We are thrilled to fortify HPI’s relationship with EHN and provide optimized experiences for self-funded employers across the country,” said Deb Hodges, president and CEO of HPI. “Our partnership began seven years ago, and this acquisition will strengthen our united goal to offer cost-effective, flexible plan designs that focus on high-quality care with better outcomes. Bringing EHN officially into the HPI family of companies will continue to help us successfully serve the self-funding needs of the national market.”
Employers Health Nexus (EHNexus), based in Irving, Texas, brings Employers Health Network (EHN) and Clarion Management Solutions (CMS) to the HPI family of companies. EHNexus provides extensive experience in managing direct-to-employer products along with network contracting expertise.
“At EHN, we believe strongly in our mission—to drive higher-value healthcare by bringing employers and world-class healthcare providers into a trusting relationship,” said Blake Allison, CEO of EHN. “As we evaluated strategic partners, HPI clearly aligned with our mission, given their customized solutions for employers and their high volume of partnerships with healthcare providers. This opportunity allows HPI and EHN to bring together a best-in-class third-party administrator with an innovative health plan solution to optimize healthcare for self-funded employers in the communities we serve. We are very excited about the future and the next chapter of our company.”
The addition of EHN and CMS to the HPI family of companies will bring an expansion of network options to HPI’s customers, which will continue to elevate HPI’s national growth and its core value of offering customized solutions to clients. Exclusive to the EHN model is the focus on clinically integrated systems anchored by high-performance facilities and physicians with market-competitive discounts.
“This partnership is the culmination of the efforts that HPI and EHN have put forth over the last seven years and will positively impact future access of care for our membership,” said Drew Rozmiarek, HPI senior vice president, national sales and emerging markets. “This acquisition is another step forward in our mission, solidifying our offering of true customization to self-funded employers across the country. As groups evolve, so does their understanding of access to care for their specific membership. The result of contracting with quality providers and high-performance network options will not only add value for our continued growth but will also improve our offerings to current HPI clients.”
EHN/EHNexus will continue operations out of its headquarters in Irving, Texas.
