LaunchBio, Inc today announced four new board members and a new board chair who will each help the nonprofit expand access to its entrepreneurial support programs for high-growth, high-impact life science and biotechnology companies.
“We are thrilled to welcome four new board members to our organization,” said LaunchBio CEO Becky Beattie. “This is an exciting time of growth for LaunchBio as we respond to increased demand for entrepreneurial support in emerging innovation hubs. Our new board reflects the geographies we serve, strengthening LaunchBio’s presence in Boston, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City and San Francisco, and bringing market-level insights to our work. We are grateful for their expertise and commitment to our mission.”
LaunchBio named Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati partner Mike Hostetler as its new board Chair. Hostetler joined the LaunchBio board of directors in 2018 and most recently served as Secretary. LucasPye BIO CEO Tia Lyles-Williams D.Sc., will now act as Secretary and BioLabs CFO John Freeman as Treasurer.
Beattie continued, “I am pleased that Mike Hostetler will lead the LaunchBio board through this stage of growth as Chair. He has demonstrated exceptional commitment to our organization and we look forward to his leadership.”

The new board members began their three-year term on December 1, 2021. The four new members are:
