Cypress Ridge Capital Announces Formal Launch of Healthcare Investment Platform

Cypress Ridge Capital, a U.S. growth equity firm focused exclusively on investments in the healthcare sector, today announced its formal launch. Cypress Ridge was co-founded by Andrew Pardo and Chris Petrini, who bring substantial experience investing in and working with privately held companies. The new firm will focus on companies across the healthcare ecosystem, including care delivery, technology and tech-enabled services, and the life science value chain.

Prior to Cypress Ridge, Mr. Pardo served as a senior member of the healthcare investing team at Clayton Dubilier & Rice, a global private equity manager. Mr. Petrini most recently worked as a senior investment professional at healthcare-focused private equity firm WindRose Health Investors. Mr. Pardo and Mr. Petrini have a long history of working collaboratively, dating back to their time investing together on behalf of CI Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm.

Mr. Pardo said, “Chris and I have discussed combining our experience and network of relationships for several years. We share a similar belief in healthcare 2.0 models that advance value-based care delivery, payment model evolution, and pharma supply chain efficiency. The Cypress Ridge team is joined by several Platform Partners who have worked closely with the principals on previous investments. These individuals bridge the financial expertise of the firm’s investment professionals with deep operating and strategic experience relevant to specific healthcare subsectors. Additionally, Cypress Ridge is building out a dedicated group of Innovation Partners, experts responsible for digital transformation and support services across a wide array of functional areas.

Cypress Ridge will target both control and non-control investments of $10 million to $50 million of equity capital in one of two strategies:

  • Founder Growth Partnerships leverage primary capital investment to facilitate a value creation plan, both via organic growth and a targeted M&A strategy. Cypress Ridge believes in full economic alignment, targeting substantial post-close ownership for founder partners.

  • Solutions Based Partnerships serve as a transformational catalyst by solving a void in the market through a thesis driven build-up approach. Cypress Ridge seeks to architect market leading companies by marrying established assets with exceptionally talented management teams.
