When The Worst Day of Your Life Didn’t Kill You

Michelle Pinard launches her latest book When The Worst Day of Your Life Didn’t Kill You – The Morning After. Michelle shares her story as a former marathon runner and avid athlete who was faced with the diagnosis of a rare brain disease, Cerebellar Ataxia. Cerebellar Ataxia is a cureless disease that affects the entire neurological system and progresses rapidly. It affects 150,000 people in the U.S and can develop in any age group. Although it felt as though her life was turned upside down, Michelle managed to begin reconnecting the dots of her life. She was inspired to find ways to overcome her daily difficulties and challenge herself given her new reality.

When The Worst Day of Your Life Didn’t Kill You – The Morning After powerfully shows the value of waking up every day and being thankful for all that life has to offer. The novel opens the heart, settles the soul, and motivates the mind. After being diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia, Michelle can now only walk with assistance. She had to relearn how to accomplish her daily tasks while also continuing the pursuit of her athletic passion. With the assistance of The CAF (Challenged Athletes Foundation) and their supportive community, she is now able to physically challenge herself with adaptive biking. A sport that allows fitness gurus with disabilities to continue moving their bodies.

Although life threw one of the most difficult obstacles into her path, Michelle refused to allow the struggle to define her. She is still Michelle, a wife, mother, athlete, and an inspirational author.
