The KIS Foundation, Inc. Hosts COVID-19 Recovery Relief Giveaway for Sickle Cell Disease Community


Health and wellness is at the forefront of everyone’s life as we push through the pandemic but it’s more important for those who suffer with Sickle Cell Disease. September is National Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month and Chandra Wilson & James Pickens Jr. (Grey’s Anatomy), Herbalife Nutrition, and the Lakers Youth Foundation will partner with The KIS Foundation Inc., to supply families living with SCD COVID-19 recovery relief boxes, PPE, Crisis Care backpacks plus Health & Fitness items to support their living well goals.

On Sunday, September 26th from 1 pm – 4 pm, this free drive-thru event will be held at 745 N. La Brea Ave, Inglewood, CA, 90302 for registered SCD families, patients, and caretakers to receive essential healthcare items and a Crisis Care package filled with necessities Sickle Cell patients need before, during and after a health crisis (whether at home or in the hospital) PLUS family-fun items such as an ice cream kit and a waffle maker.
