Quaintise Campaign Helps to Secure Large Monetary Gift for UCLA

Their work has undoubtedly contributed to the success of our funding campaign and the establishment of a new center that will perform groundbreaking research in genomic medicine.

Quaintise is thrilled to share the news of a large monetary gift to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to establish a center focused on the role of genetics in disease. The Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg Center for Precision Genomic Medicine will be launched within UCLA’s Institute for Precision Health, which has facilitated some of the most cutting-edge genetic research in recent years.

In order to obtain these funds, the Institute for Precision Health looked to Quaintise to develop life sciences marketing materials that would be presented to the university’s prospective donors. The goal of these materials would be to petition financial aid to set up an infrastructure focused specifically on genetics’ role in disease, potentially furthering research that would change the face of genomic medicine using innovative technologies and in-depth clinical studies.

Quaintise developed a digital and print brochure along with supporting materials, such as engaging flyers and informative infographics, to aid in this fundraising campaign for UCLA’s Institute for Precision Health. The life sciences marketing brochure was selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts to be recognized as a 2019 Communicator Award winner.

“This recognition validates our commitment to provide best-in-class marketing for the health, medical and life sciences industries,” said Raquel Baldelomar, founder and president of Quaintise. “We’re proud to support UCLA Health’s mission to bring life-changing genetic and genomic medicine into the clinical realm.”

The award-winning brochure was a key component in the outreach to potential donors conducted by the Institute for Precision Health. In securing such a sizable financial gift, UCLA will be able to expand their efforts in genomic medicine. The new Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg Center for Precision Genomic Medicine will increase access to innovative technologies, such as CRISPR engineering. This will aid in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic disorders as well as some of the most serious and common illnesses, including cancer and immune disorders, cardiovascular disease and brain disorders such as autism, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Mary Goodstein, Senior Director of Development Communications at UCLA Health Sciences, credits Quaintise with helping to effectively communicate the department’s efforts and achievements to university donors. “Quaintise was able to create a captivating, informative and effective visual representation of the UCLA Institute for Precision Health. Their work has undoubtedly contributed to the success of our funding campaign and the establishment of a new center that will perform groundbreaking research in genomic medicine.”
