Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced a new wireless speaker kit that makes it easy to craft a customized, rechargeable mini-speaker that plays audio from Bluetooth®-enabled devices – an ideal project for a personalized holiday gift.
The Rockler Wireless Speaker Kit (https://www.rockler.com/rockler-wireless-speaker-kit-with-playback-volume-controls) features easy-to-connect, color-coded electrical components that mount in 1-7/8″ diameter holes – allowing users to build a small box or case from the material of their choice or to simply drill a hole in an eye-catching piece of wood. It incorporates an upgraded control panel that includes full playback and volume controls, as well as a 3.5mm auxiliary input jack for connecting another device.

The kit includes a speaker unit, a control unit and a USB charging cable. Wiring is as simple as snapping the connectors of color-coded wires from the speaker unit into color-coded ports on the control unit. A sleek black bezel on the outside of both units hides any small irregularities in the mounting holes.
