Ideal Option’s 3rd Addiction Medicine Clinic in Arkansas Opens in Little Rock

Ideal Option, a national network of 67 clinics in 10 states offering evidence-based treatment for addiction to opioids, alcohol, meth, and other substances, is now welcoming new patients in Little Rock. The new clinic, the third to open in Arkansas over the past year, is conveniently located in the heart of Little Rock inside the Doctors Building on University Avenue.

Ideal Option’s new clinic opens at a time of desperate need for evidence-based treatment services:

  • The Arkansas Department of Health reports opioid-related overdose deaths in Pulaski County increased by 40% in 2020.
  • The Arkansas State Crime Lab reports fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid has now surpassed meth as the leading cause of overdose deaths in the state.
  • The CDC reports that Arkansas’s legal prescription rate is higher than the US average of 46.7, with the state as a whole sitting at 86.3 and Pulaski County not far behind at 75.8.

“As the pandemic winds down, it’s time to turn our attention back to the opioid epidemic and expanding access to low-barrier treatment. We know substance use increased dramatically during the pandemic as people grappled with personal hardships, but it’s not too late to reverse that trend.” said Tim Kilgallon, CEO of Ideal Option. “We’ve already helped more than 350 Arkansas citizens begin their journey to recovery from substance use disorder, and we’re working to help many more as quickly as possible.”

The Ideal Option clinic is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and is located at 500 University Ave, Ste. 514, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Ideal Option has no waitlists and accepts several insurance plans, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Total Care, Medicaid and Medicare. Patients can make an appointment by calling 1.877.522.1275 or visiting http://www.idealoption.com.
