After growing up in a family business, Mike Marchand is looking forward to growing a family business of his own with the launch of his new senior-focused relocation and estate-clearing company – Caring Transitions of Tewksbury.

Caring Transitions is the professional and compassionate choice for senior moves, downsizing and estate sales. Caring Transitions’ specially-trained professionals handle every detail for their clients’ transitions, including decluttering, organizing, packing, move management, unpacking and resettling, cleanouts, and both in-home and online estate sales. Caring Transitions of Tewksbury serves Bedford, Billerica, Carlisle, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Sudbury, Tewksbury, Wayland, Weston and the surrounding areas.

“It’s easy enough to find a company that does moving, handles valuable estate items or that will empty your house, but organizing and managing those services so that they work best for your own needs while reducing all of the associated stress is unique. With Caring Transitions, we wrap all of the services you need into one flexible, client-focused solution,” Marchand said.

Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for managing the many aspects of a senior move or with those who are in the process of downsizing. They also help busy families with clearing out the home of a loved one who has moved into assisted care or has passed away. All of Caring Transitions’ services are customizable, so clients choose the solution that best fits their needs.

“We are very proud to be a part of the nationwide company of Caring Transitions offices. When you find yourself or a family member in need of moving or handling an estate, there are many things to consider. We strive to be that trusted, one-call source that can address all of your concerns. Whether it is our services or that of specialized professionals, we’re here to help,” Marchand said.

Marchand’s first job as a young teen was at a local nursing home in his hometown of Waltham, MA. While he was hired to help out in the kitchen, do general maintenance and do cleaning, he found himself becoming friends with the many residents. This was a wonderful experience he’s carried with him throughout his life. Later, he went to work for his family’s business and then pursued a career in corporate America.

“I enjoyed working for my family’s business – it was part of who I was – but the industry changed, and I didn’t have the ability to change the company to adapt. With Caring Transitions, I’m looking forward to building a business with my family that I may be able to hand down to one of my talented daughters someday and I’m excited about getting back to working with seniors and families,” Marchand said. “Of course, you have to make a living when you run a business, but what I really want to make is a difference.”

Marchand and his wife of almost 40 years, Maria, have three daughters – Samantha, Jacqueline and Elizabeth – and one granddaughter Adriana. Maria is heavily involved with charities including the Salvation Army. You can often find the family ringing red bells around the holidays.
