Elev8 Cannabis, an emerging adults-medical cannabis retailer with locations in Eugene, Oregon, and Athol, Massachusetts, announced today that Cassandra Michaud was named Elev8 Cannabis chief operating officer. Cassandra becomes the company’s first COO. Her appointment is effective immediately.
“In a short period, Cassandra has contributed to our day-to-day operations in multiple states helping Elev8 reach and sustain business success,” said Seun Adedeji, founder and chief executive officer at Elev8 Cannabis. “Her experience in and knowledge of the cannabis industry is unmistakable, and this has been a factor to our continued success. Elev8 is also preparing to expand this year. And, for these reasons, the timing is right for elevating her to the chief operating officer. As COO, she will oversee most aspects of Elev8’s procedures and plans across all of our current and future retail cannabis locations.”
Cassandra is a marketing professional who has worked in various retail management positions before joining Elev8 Cannabis in the summer of 2020. Since then, she’s managed Elev8 Cannabis’s Oregon store while learning about the cannabis industry and the unique and varied needs of cannabis customers. Cassandra gleaned the nuances of cannabis marketing and the broad range of cannabis products on the market while establishing critical relationships with product manufacturers, suppliers and growers, and industry leaders. By the fall of 2020, she was working in the capacity of Operations Manager overseeing two retail locations, including the hiring and training of a new sales team for the new Athol, Massachusetts store, which opened in October 2020.

Michaud’s appointment coincides with the appointment of a new marketing manager and the opening of two new Elev8 Cannabis dispensaries to open soon in Orange and Williamstown, in the state of Massachusetts.
