Torchlight Earns SOC 2 Type ll Attestation for Employee-Caregiver Support Solutions

We are extremely gratified to receive SOC 2 Type II certification and view this as a monumental achievement by our entire Torchlight team. We are proud to set the industry standard with the highest level of commitment to protecting our customers’ and partners’ sensitive data.

Torchlight announced today it has successfully completed American Institute of CPAs (AICPA’s) Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II Audit, attesting to the highest levels of information security underpinning its employee-caregiver support solutions. While the SOC 2 Type I Audit completed one year prior affirmed Torchlight’s controls at that point in time, the Type II attestation required the company to maintain and demonstrate continuous and consistent controls over an extended period of time.

“We are extremely gratified to receive SOC 2 Type II certification and view this as a monumental achievement by our entire Torchlight team. We are proud to set the industry standard with the highest level of commitment to protecting our customers’ and partners’ sensitive data,” said Adam Goldberg, Torchlight’s CEO. “In light of the rise in enterprise data breaches in recent years, and especially now during such vulnerable times, it is no longer an option to operate in the CareTech space without a documented track record of controls to ensure trust and transparency when it comes to security.”

Torchlight engaged AARC-360 to conduct the audit. A firm of certified public accountants and advisors registered with the PCAOB, AARC-360 combines deep insights gained across industries to provide assurance, advisory, risk, and compliance services to companies located both locally and internationally. In accordance with AICPA guidance, AARC-360’s SOC 2 examination services are designed to provide independent assurance against defined criteria around the principles of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, or privacy.

The audit revealed no exceptions, meaning all of Torchlight’s controls met or exceeded the highest of security standards and the company successfully adhered to those controls to ensure the utmost levels of security and quality.

“Successful completion of our first SOC2 Type II audit with zero exceptions is a true testament to the company-wide emphasis placed on data security at Torchlight. Those using Torchlight’s services can rest assured that our security practices are among the best in the industry, as confirmed by this audit,” stated Dan Johnson, Information Security and Compliance Leader at Torchlight.

SOC2 Certification

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 certification is widely recognized as a gold standard for data security and requires companies to establish and follow strict information security policies and procedures. By achieving certification, an independent third party has validated the design and implementation of Torchlight’s controls relevant to data security, availability, and confidentiality. Torchlight’s SOC 2 certification demonstrates their commitment to data security through the practices and procedures it follows for protecting against unauthorized access, maintaining the availability of its service, and protecting the confidential information of its customers.
