Binah.ai, a leading provider of general health and wellness video-based monitoring tools powered by artificial intelligence (AI), today announced that Generali Deutschland, the German business unit of Europe’s largest insurance Group, has adopted its award-winning technology to launch a new mobile application. The application is called VitalSigns&Care, and will put cutting-edge technology at the service of customers’ preventive healthcare, thereby strengthening Generali’s role as their life-time partner.
Binah.ai’s technology will run through the Generali Deutschland app, allowing users to extract vital parameters that are key to one’s health status such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiration rate and heart rate variability through the camera on their smartphone. In cooperation with global consulting firm, SDG Group, Generali Deutschland will complement Binah.ai’s technology with additional access to a vast range of assistance and prevention services. The Generali app highlights the importance of prevention in healthcare, hugely heightened by the current COVID-19 pandemic, and will include additional tailor-made optional services such as useful advice on nutrition, preventive healthcare and work-life balance.
“The adoption of our technology by a leader like Generali in the insurance industry is a significant seal of approval around our vision for Binah.ai,” said David Maman, Co-Founder and CEO of Binah.ai. “The German market is at the forefront of healthcare’s digital transformation, and we look forward to witnessing the many advantages that our vital signs monitoring capabilities can provide to those who access the application.”
Binah.ai’s award-winning technology applies a unique mix of signal processing and artificial intelligence technologies to extract and analyze a video stream taken from the upper cheek region of a human face, and then converts it into medical-grade accurate vital signs measurements.
“We will introduce a disruptive innovation in the field of insurance for preventive healthcare and assistance,” said Giovanni Liverani, CEO of Generali Deutschland. “As a trail-blazer in the global insurance market, Generali Deutschland will launch Generali VitalSigns&Care, a state-of-the-art app available for download on anyone’s smartphone and capable of testing – just by using the camera – important vital parameters as well as enabling users to access assistance and prevention services when needed. With this new digital solution, we put advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence to the service of our customers, in a way that is affordable, fast and easy. A new tool to promote prevention, which, as we learnt during the current Covid emergency, is of paramount importance, and to protect our customer’s life and health.”
“I am really proud to see that even in the unprecedented time we are living right now, we have been able to collaborate with Generali on a real extraordinary project. This project is a unique innovation in the field of digital preventive healthcare and artificial intelligence. Our partnership with Generali is fully aligned with our mission – inspiring innovation and supporting our clients, their clients and the whole community by taking full advantage of the advanced analytics.”said Luca Quagini, CEO of SDG Group.
The app is expected to be available to German users via app stores in early 2021, with Generali exploring future options to extend the geographic scope to other markets.
