Medical Delivery on the Rise Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

“This service is designed and utilized to offer our patients peace of mind knowing they can get their medical supplies delivered.”

With more people stuck at home due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there has been a surge in demand for durable medical equipment delivery services. Quality Home Care Providers Inc., has taken additional steps across the company to address the COVID-19 outbreak and protect patient access to medical supplies by increasing delivery services.

Quality Home Care Providers Inc. Leonia location has seen a 75 percent increase in delivery services for the months January-May in 2020 compared to 2019. The company, at both the Leonia and Hamilton Township NJ locations, provide delivery service to customers throughout the tristate area, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All delivery vehicles are routinely cleaned and sanitized out of an abundance of caution.

“This service is designed and utilized to offer our patients peace of mind knowing they can get their medical supplies delivered. Our patients have had a high concern about entering the office due to risk of exposure to germs, especially our elderly patients, homebound patients or those with underlying health issues,” said CEO of Quality Home Care Providers Inc., Dr. Munr Kazmir.

Both Quality Home Care Providers Inc. locations provide in person services for patients, and have implemented COVID-19 safety precautions since the start of the pandemic.

Employees working at Quality Home Care Providers Inc. are required to undergo a series of precautions every day. Each employee is required to get a temperature check every day and are distributed masks and gloves, as well as antiseptic wipes. Hand Sanitizer stations are located all over the office, as well as on each employee’s desk.

Both locations are sanitized twice a week by an outsourced cleaning company, including the door knobs, light switches as well as personal work areas like keyboards, phones, toilets and kitchen surfaces.

Should an employee test positive for COVID-19, he or she will be required to stay out of office and will be able to return to work once a doctor allows and test results are negative. Signs for masks and social distancing are placed all over the office for both employees and patient safety and both are encouraged to frequently wash their hands and avoid touching their faces, especially eyes, nose and mouth.
